The Concept Behind PAdicNumber Moonshine Network
The PAdicNumber Moonshine Network is inspired by two advanced mathematical concepts: p-adic numbers and moonshine theory.
- P-adic Numbers: P-adic numbers extend the notion of integer sequences and their convergence properties, providing a rich framework for handling various numerical computations. In p-adic number systems, distances are measured differently, using a p-adic norm instead of the usual absolute value.
- Moonshine Theory: Moonshine theory deals with deep connections between number theory and modular functions, particularly the monstrous moonshine conjecture which connects the monster group (a large finite simple group) to modular functions.
