Creating a Hybrid LLM Model by Combining Ollama, Mistral LLM, and GPT
Introduction
The field of large language models (LLMs) has seen significant advancements with the introduction of models such as Ollama, Mistral LLM and the latest GPT versions available on Hugging Face. Each model brings unique strengths and capabilities to the table. By combining these models, we can create a powerful new LLM that leverages their collective strengths. In this article, we explore how to create such a hybrid model.
Overview of the Models
Ollama
Ollama provides a platform to run various LLMs locally, including Meta’s Llama 3, which is available in both 8B and 70B parameter sizes. Ollama is designed to make it easy for users to run and manage these models, offering a simple API and the ability to customize and create models on macOS, Linux, and Windows (currently in preview).
Mistral LLM
Mistral, known for its 7B parameter model, offers state-of-the-art performance and supports various applications, including function calling. The Mistral AI API provides a seamless way for developers to integrate Mistral’s models into their applications and production workflows with just a few lines of code.
